Click the puzzle-piece icon in your toolbar and pin PDF Text Search so it's always one click away.

Click the PDF Text Search icon. You'll see "Search a PDF" and a URL input field.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see the extension icon after installing?
It may be hidden in the extensions puzzle-piece menu. In Chrome or Edge, click the puzzle icon in the toolbar, find PDF Text Search, and click the pin icon to keep it visible. In Firefox, right-click the toolbar and choose Customize to drag the icon into view.
Do I need to create an account to use the extension?
No. The extension is completely free with no account required. It simply opens the Sparks Simple free PDF search tool in a new tab.
Does the extension upload my PDFs anywhere?
No. Your PDF is processed locally inside your browser using PDF.js. It never leaves your device and never touches our servers.
Can I remove it if I change my mind?
Yes. In Chrome or Edge, right-click the extension icon and choose 'Remove from Chrome/Edge.' In Firefox, go to about:addons and click Remove next to PDF Text Search.
